Washington, DC, March 2017 - England & Company, a leading independent investment bank, announced that JD Friedland has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its New York office. Friedland will expand the firm's coverage of the healthcare industry, with a particular emphasis on medical technology and healthcare IT.
Friedland joins industry veterans Scott Cousino, Andy Cowherd, Craig England, and Paul Teitelbaum as the core of England & Company's Healthcare Investment Banking team.

JD Friedland has over 25 years of investment banking, private equity investing, and corporate development experience in the healthcare industry. Before joining England, Friedland was a Principal with Pulse Equity Partners, a healthcare private equity investor. Prior to joining Pulse, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Henry Schein, Inc., directing all business development activities in the firm's Medical and Practice Solutions segments representing over $2BN in annual sales.
Previously, as an investment banker, Friedland was a founder and Senior Managing Director of Match Point Partners, and Managing Director and Head of U.S. Healthcare Investment Banking for Rothschild, Inc. He also has held senior positions in the Healthcare Groups at Lazard, Wasserstein Perella, Cowen & Company, and Kidder Peabody.
Friedland holds a BS in Business from the University of Southern California and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
